My Zojirushi NS-ZCC18 after 10+ years
At least ten years with one rice cooker, used almost every day. These are my ownership notes.

The cooker in my kitchen
I own a Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy NS-ZCC18. I have had it for at least ten years, and I cook rice almost every day. My usual rice is Nishiki Premium medium-grain rice, and I usually make 3–4 cups using the cooker’s measuring cup.
It has never broken. I have never replaced the inner pan, lid, gasket or any other part.
What this experience tells you
This is the history of one appliance in my kitchen. This is an ownership account, rather than a measured lifespan study or a controlled comparison with the other models in our guide. My experience cannot establish a typical lifespan, failure rate or rice-quality ranking.
The NS-ZCC18 is the larger model in the NS-ZCC10/18 range. Zojirushi lists it at up to 10 cups, compared with up to 5.5 cups for the NS-ZCC10. These are dry-rice capacities using the manufacturer’s 180mL cup and raw short-grain white rice. Other rice types and settings have their own limits. Would you need the same size?
My usual batch is context for my experience, rather than a reason for every household cooking 3–4 cups to choose the NS-ZCC18. Check your smallest and largest batches, rice types, counter space and the exact manual before choosing a size.
I do not own the smaller NS-ZCC10, and my experience with the NS-ZCC18 does not establish how that model will perform.
