JAPANESE KITCHEN NOTES / GUIDES & NOTES
About Japanese Kitchen Notes
Japanese appliances, tools and everyday cooking.
I’m Hiro. I’m Japanese, and I cook rice almost every day. Japanese Kitchen Notes brings together my experience with the tools in my kitchen and practical research for people choosing products in the US.
We are starting with rice cookers. Over time, the notebook can grow to include other appliances, knives, useful tools, cooking and care.
How to read our guides
- Ownership notes describe the exact tools I own and what I have experienced.
- Specifications and documented features link to their sources and show when they were checked.
- Our interpretation explains what to consider. Reading specifications is not hands-on comparative testing.
- A Japanese brand does not mean every product is manufactured in Japan or intended for the US market. Check the exact model.
Buying guidance and commercial links
Some shopping links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, I may earn a commission. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. We label these links on the relevant pages. Manufacturer source links remain informational. A commission does not replace checks on seller, price and warranty terms or turn our research into hands-on testing.
We do not currently publish a cheapest-price claim or a final tested shortlist. Manufacturer and retailer options can be useful even when they do not pay us.
